Are all fountain Soda's created equal?

quit drinking soda/pop 5+ years ago.  used to drink a ton. 

don't drink any carbonated beverage other than tonic/soda water for ketel and pellegrino.

feels elite going to lunch and getting $7 worth of food, instead of $5 worth of food and a $2 drink.

also love looking down on soda addicts.

I never buy soda at restaurants unless i've already had 4 beers or so, then they "comp" the soda.

Angers me when my wife gets a soda or iced tea for $2.29 and barely puts a dent in it.

Cucumber is great for the first few sips.  It makes you think that you should start growing them so that you can have this like all the time.  Then you get to the bottom of the glass and you wonder, "why did I think this was so great"? 

Cucumber is tricky.

Lemon, Lime, Mint(individually, not together).  Always consistent.  Always fantastic.  Never tricky.

hendricks, tonic, cucumber.  that's it for me. other gins not so much.
hendricks just tastes like cucumber.  infuse some 'cumbers with hendricks gin for a couple days and then make some fantastic summer drinks, it's fantastic!!

I drink it almost exclusively with a lime (as I would assume most do.)  I will try this cucumber gin garnish and see how it goes.  I'm sure the first 10 times I ask for it they won't have it, though.

Sounds great. Love to drink gin any way I can. My current favorite is straight Bombay Sapphire with a lime wedge.
