to clarify, i used to get el mariachi delivered a lot, and have had texanos delivered twice.  the second time was much better, but it was essentially the exact same product.
What do you get?

One owner wants to buy the others out and rebrand. But yes, closed currently. Rockin' Rodeo is as well.

My bro in law went; his report was that the food was amazing, there really was only 1 lady working there over lunch, it took him 2 hours to get in and out, when the lady took his order she then handed him a Pinochle deck of cards and a notepad to keep score on, but said he would go back.
I'm purple down

The wait time is ludicrous. She needs to hire people. But the food is very very good.

man not sure where to start...

is the food very, very good? yes, it's fantastic.
is the wait for it very, very long? yes, it's something else.
does the ambiance need some work? yes, a lot. no music, very quiet for 90% of the time except for when the waitress (her first day!) would walk over to the laptop and hit play on some zydeco.
do they have have decks of cards at the table to play and paper to keep score? yes but i would byod because non of ours were complete. two different decks.
do they have a liquor license? nope. hope they get one or allow you to byo.
am i rooting for this place and will i go back? yes. absolutely.
do i think they'll make it? probably not, which is sad.

or better yet, maybe we get some mhkers together and pak the place. or even better yet, maybe we get a village plaza pak where we start at cat tracks and then work our way all the way down to the china buffet place. like, cat tracks, subway, new italian place, pcat grill, rays, cajun place, la hacienda (now serving beer!), chinese buffet. i'll make t-shirts. we'll have a whistle. you have to eat and drink at least one thing at each place. wow, right!

it will be called the west side throw down and in addition to the eating and drinking, there will be a single event at each location. darts at cat tracks, papper/scissors/rock at subway, bingo at rays, etc.

highest/best average place at the end of the day wins the traveling trophy until next year.

As bad as the service is at cafe du qvondeyz.  I asked a bartender at powercat for a Jameson in a tumbler and was handed a Jameson and 7 with ice.
