Not PI'ing, just an honest question. Have you ever had a 'real' philly?

What do you mean by 'real' philly? Cheez Whiz? Actually from Philadelphia? Either way I'd be willing to bet I've had more than you. I'm not saying Pepperjax is the end all be all of phillies. But that doesn't mean it isn't good and not a quality addition to the MHK late night food scene.

Philly steaks with whiz are basically made for tourists.   White American or provolone cheese and freshly made is the way to go.   The sandwich starts with the bread.   Those garbage places like Pat's and Geno's  cater to tourists and serve up a pile of hours old meat and onions on gross bread.

Jim's makes the best Philly in Philadelphia and it's not even close.

No.  Paul's on Sansom in Jeweler's Row.   Case closed.

Tried a philly from Domino's (mhk) and it smelled like poop so I didn't even try to eat it.

Then like 3 months later I saw the picture on the website again and it looked good and I didn't remember why I didn't like it the first time so I got it again and when it showed up it smelled like poop and I didn't eat it and remembered to not do that again

The best philly's are made with shaved small filets and Brie, best enjoyed with a mature cab sauv.
