you know what this town needs? more fast food and low-end, chain restaurants. you can never get enough of those, that's what I always say.

 :D

Seriously tho... It's not a matter of needing more, but rather a matter of if we're going to have them let's at least have the less shitty ones.

I was just telling somebody the other day that there's not enough craptastic restaurants around here for me to get craptastic food and craptastic service. I mean there's only two McDonald's in this town and they're a whole TEN FREAKING MINUTE drive away from each other. That's too far. There needs to be one on every corner, imo. You shouldn't have to look far to get craptastic goods and services, that's what I always say.

Only one Applebee's?! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! I had to wait a whole 30 minutes to get seated with my wife and three kids on Friday and they didn't leave the onions off of our 2 for $20 fajitas! Ridiculous. I bet you if they put one in on the west side the east side Applebee's would have to step their game up so that they wouldn't lose business, that's what I always say.

You know, one place that is kind of random that actually has pretty good food is Willies on Seth Child.

For non-franchise sports bars in MHK, I think:

1. Tanners
2. Willies
3. Powercat

There are two Applebee's in Manhattan, only the other one is called Aggie Station.

Yep, Manhattan was much better when there were like 15-20 restaurants total.  Way better.

No way Powercat is 3rd unless you're rating atmosphere way over food and beer selection. Tanner's and Willie's have everything frozen and then just reheat it for an order. Gross, no thanks.

Huh, did not know that in regards to the food. But, my big qualm with Powercat is that they don't have a great TV set up, IMO.

Really like Tanner's TVs.

Those rankings seem about right...

Tanner's has a far better TV set up, but PSG has far better food. Which one you prefer depends upon what you find more important in a sports bar. PSG is the type of place I go to eat with my parents, Tanner's and Willie's are places I go with my buds to watch games and drink beers.

Paddy O' Quigley's is a great spot to go to on game day. I mean, everyone has already forgotten about it and it has wide open seating. .

Someone hasn't been back to Paddy's in a while, have they?

Nope. Is it even there still? I haven't been to Manhattan for awhile and the last time I was there, I was far from there.

Boulevard Grill is horrible at the moment. Understaffed, pretty much the same menu that Paddy O Quigley's had. May go back in 6 months or so when hopefully they have their crap together.

Do you even know how long it takes to get a happy hour drink at Sonic during the school year? AGES! That's how long. Two Sonics is not enough. They need to put at least one on campus, maybe even two. That's what I always say.

I shouldn't have to wait in line for 5 minutes for 44 ounces of sugar water, that's what I always say.
