There is a difference between MVP and POTY imo and Cole might be the MVP but not the POTY, you know?

if anything then, Cole would be my POTY and Collins the MVP.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

collins is w/o a question the most valuable player to his team and their success this year in the big 12

Do we have to keep showing Aldrich's dunk against Fort Hays State when they were down by 2??

Cole Aldrich is the most valuable player in the Big 12.  The first-team All Big 12 team will be:

PG - Collins
SG- Pullen
SF - Anderson
PF - Udoh
C - Aldrich

More like Ud-no. amirite?

Udoh is like Aldrich with an offensive skill set.  Udoh averages more points, blocks, rebounds, and about 10 minutes more a game.

Anyone that thinks Aldrich is MVP or POY is high out of their mind.

Yeah, OSU may have played Anderson out of contention.  It's pretty much Collins out there on an island right now.

if it has to be a ku player, it's definitely aldrich.  there's no way to make a case for collins.

Leading scorer and leader on the #1 team in the country.  Best point guard in the modern era of KU basketball, and winningest player in KU basketball history.

relatively pedestrian offensive efficiency/usage (average defender, average distributor).  vs by far the most dominant defender in the conference, an elite rebounder and a competent post scorer.

you can make a better case for m. morris than collins.

Another reason why awards like this are for 'tards to get off on.  It's "player" of the year, not "team" of the year.  Anderson is the best player in the conference and it isn't even close.

Also if "year" is in the name (and it is), all of those career stats that Beemer is talking about shouldn't mean anything.

those are nice for ku fans but don't factor in the POTY discussion.
i'd vote for collins though.  when he wants to be, he's unstoppable.   aldrich, while a fairly dominant center in an age of non-centers, relies upon collins to accomplish what he does.
