"...we're a young team.  A third Half of our guys weren't playing for our team last season..."

Leaving the door open.

Yeah, but fyp.

Continual attrition is not ideal given our recruiting, but I've pretty much accepted that this is part of Frank. It will be find as long as he wins. If we are going to have attrition, Nick and Canada are acceptable losses.

it's unsustainable.  nick and canada, by themselves are fine, but not when the other brave souls that have gone before them are taken into consideration , regardless of their abilities or lack thereof.

Is Myles on campus?  THought he was suppose to be there after the 4th, but don't remember ever officially hearing of his arrival.

yeah, he is

Somebody find out if he sucks or not.

Hey, michigancat here.  I can confirm that he sucks.

Thanks.

I'm still holding out hope that he's better than past transfers i.e. Taybron and Maybank. I'm expecting him to be a Jeremy Pargo type.

Take Taybron, give him 3 years of eligibility, and you've got Myles (if we're lucky).

We weren't lucky. :frown:

Exactly. I had a really great post on this a while back that I don't feel like digging up. I hate dumbshits who are all, "he wasn't the best player, so no big deal." That's just stupid.

I've been on the continuity with 3 stars bandwagon for a long time. I was just saying we knew 2 were leaving, and to find out its Russell and Myles and not someone like McGruder or Samuels is nice. To a point.

"There should be a lot (minutes) available next year. Every big school recruits all positions so I think there is a guard coming in, but that doesn't bother me because now I know what to do, and what I need to do in practice, the weight room and with my conditioning so I'm ready and can prove to coach Martin and the rest of the coaching staff that I'm ready to lead this team."

Either he is staying or about to be violently blindsided

that's Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), even for you.  just because you don't have the ability to change something doesn't mean it is ethical, logical or useful to embrace it.

Agreed. If Frank doesn't like the players he has, he shouldn't have recruited them in the first place.

lol at comparing a couple of bench/role players getting the boot to hitler killing jews.  saul is gonna be pissed.

would you rather nick and canada stick around a few more years and "maybe" get better (but probably still suck), or take the chance on 2 new guys?  If they suck, then you can make a thread about how pissed you are that they're getting kicked out next year.

IIRC, lots of folks here said we shouldn't have recruited Myles long before he committed. Frank should consult us before he pulls this crap.

I'd rather them stay and maybe get better but probably still suck. I KNOW Watson and Jones will suck. Not sure on Russell. Pretty sure Myles would continually suck.

Starting to not buy the "Buy in or quit" philosophy.

Should be revised to "Get better or quit".

lol @ you for not accepting the similarities.  martin should never have recruited myles, because as soon as he did, it was obvious and inevitable that he would eff him out of any chance of having a productive, stable d1 career.  hitler should never have invaded poland.

Gotta assume this can't be good for recruiting.  "Sure, we'll give you a scholarship but there's a realg good chance I'm going to kick your ass off the team in a year or two."

other coaches know.

But if Frank can somehow convince folks he only runs of shitty players, maybe other coaches could cockblock frank out of shitty players. Kind of an odd way to get to the end result, but I think I'd take it.

Yeah, but when it's not just shitty players that leave, the other coaches will use that information, too. Dominique Sutton doesn't help Frank, and Frank had better hope that Wally doesn't have success at Rutgers or wherever he ends up.

The first player that actually accomplishes anything after transferring from KSU will be the player that brings all this down.

Wally is our only threat of this happening.

russell will be more successful than judge, post kstate.  between his two schools, judge should pick maryland.  i don't think he'll get off the bench at rutgers.

Good point. If we can get other coaches at crappy schools to say "Hey kid, you aren't good enough for K-State, so you'll just be forced out after two years anyway, so come here instead!" it would be a pretty solid silver lining.
