3D TV's
« on: April 21, 2011, 01:47:43 AM »
Could someone explain what the difference between 3D with red/blue glasses vs a 3D tv? You can watch 3D on a regular tv so I guess I don't understand. Thanks

The TV alternates frames from the left eye perspective & the right eye perspective coordinating with the glasses telling them what lens to allow visible light to pass through for you to see.  The alternating left & right eye perspective blends into one image much like the red/blue glasses.

Is 3D going to go away soon like it did in the 70s?

I really hope it goes away soon, but I'm glad it came around because it made awesome TV's cheaper.

Yes and no.  3D will peak and even out in the consumer industry.  3D glasses can cost over $150.

You should continue to see 3D grow in the corporate and education industries.

True.  I bet 3D movies really eff up a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)'s world.  Can you imagine the commotion coming from a (short) bus full of those window lickers at some matinee?   (Speaking of tards-  I'm not sure I spelled matinee right.)

true story, i've never watched a television show or movie in 3d on my 3d tv.  have played some vid games with it though (GT5).  then i sat on my glasses and never bothered to replace.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

:dubious:
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
