To no one's surprise, Matt Reis retired earlier today. He was just officially announced as LA Galaxy's GK coach.

If you guys are still wanting MLS Cup Champs gear, they're having a holiday sale this Saturday from 10-6 in the Members Club.

2 million bucks for Kei. Not bad at all. Hopefully we can actually spend the money on our targets from Ecuador/Honduras in January. Luis Alberto Bolaños, Ecuadorian winger and Jorge Claros, the Honduran midfielder.

Claros is again linked with MLS. I want both of these guys still. I'll never let go.

About to listen to this ^

From reading the description, they are going to suggest bring Eddie Johnson back to KC which has been suggested in this thread. I'm so on board.  :Woot:

i dunno, champions league-ish teams are some of the most attractive to draw random american fans.  a lot of times it's just as simple as what cities/players people find interesting, and then the rest of the history gets filled in over the years

How could you be a fan of a team and almost never be able to watch them play in their league or cup matches? How could someone be a Barca or Bayern fan and only see them play their 10-12 games per year in UCL?

Bayern plays more games every year than 10-12 for the record...last year they won something like 27 games. (don't quote me as I haven't looked up the actual number of wins)

I was talking about how many games teams like that play in the Champions League and are therefore on TV in the US. 6 group stage games plus knockout games. What did you think I meant?

And after looking a little more closely, disregard previous tweet. Andy Gruenebaum looks to be staying with #crew96.

Personally, this doesn't make sense to me because Gruenebaum lost his starting job to homegrown player, Matt Lampson during 2012. Plus, he's a KC native...

Gspurning, Kronberg, Pickens, Gruenebaum, Knighton, Saunders

One of the guys suggested Opara for EJ. I guess I'd take that, but we will need Opara here if Collin leaves.

Vermes was on Sky Sports this morning. Says he thinks both Lampard and Defoe are for sure coming to MLS.

Club World Cup starts today. Two teams I've never heard of play of FS+.

http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/competition/02/09/75/34/fcwc2013_matchschedule_11112013_neutral.pdf

I don't get FS+, so I probably won't pay any attention or try to watch it at all.

James Starritt just said on Kick The Ball that Robb has told him they are frequently in touch with Wigan to see if they can get Roger back on loan. It's worth mentioning that it's a World Cup year for Roger. He has been riding the bench at Wigan, and he will want to be getting games, so this makes sense to me. Would be interesting to see how we would fit him back into the team.
