was an epic crowd at Johnny Kaw's, a few break outs into the Cauldron songs/chants happened. close to 45 SKC fans were there. I really recommend this to anyone in the Manhattan area.

Damn, never knew about that.  Is there really that many Sporting fans in Manhattan?  I'm pretty :excited: if so.

lol @ jimmy's meltdown.  right or wrong, dude appears to take pride in his craft

He earned the right to bitch someone out yesterday.  Should have been our back line rather than the ref, imo, but whatevs.  That's prob not even fair anyway.

It looks like we front load our offense and they seemed to take advantage of that in the second half by bombing it to their front line/our back line where they had guys waiting, kinda like a soccer fast break I guess?????

With Barca's surprise loss yesterday, are Sporting the undisputed best in the world?

I know we're not from England or anything and maybe this is a dumb question, but is there anyway to get Sporting into the EPL for next year? MLS is boring.

No, Manch U is the best they've got. Are there other better leagues? What about World Cup? Do you have to be a country? Again sorry if these are obvious.

I think we should hold out for the rumored Euro Super League that may form one day.

Would be extremely dumb. Keep domestic leagues, have Europa, UEFA Champions League, and hell if you want you can add another European competition below Europa idgaf but that super league will never happen

The top clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United etc) would make an absolute eff ton of money from it apparently. That would be why it might happen. Money drives nearly all decisions.

Anyone else hear that Raul (FC Schalke) came out and said he won't be playing in Europe next season? He is Spanish and had like 250 goals while at Real Madrid. Maybe this will be that Spanish DP Robb Heineman kept eluding to... :runaway:

Probably not because he is a forward and we are pretty loaded up top.

I'm not necessarily opposed to this as long as we keep one of them.

CJ and Teal are good and all, but Raul would rape the league. He would score a hat trick a game. Sign him.

Was talking about this Saturday with some friends. I'm a super casual soccer follower...world cups, the occasional EPL or Champions' League game on Fox Soccer, and about every SKC game since last year. From what I can tell, the overall quality of MLS has improved over the last few years...seems like we're seeing some trickier goals that we didn't used to see. But there still don't seem to be the type of scorers that there are overseas...guys who create on their own with a run or some fancy footwork to juke around defenders.  Guessing that's because guys who are good at that play in the better overseas leagues.

Still, every now and then we see a play like that goal Portland scored against SKC last year. Wow.
