Cell towers are overloaded so pics forthcoming. Really fun environment. As a booing fan I love that they boo anytime the away goalie has the ball. The longer he holds it the louder the boos!
they got that iowa state in ‘em

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Overall this was really fun. Very different vibe from American sports. The stadium is no frills, you just get in and go to your seat. There are some small concession stands but nothing at all like here, more similar to a kids baseball game at cico park. The away fans were really loud and super in to the game, so that was fun. The no anthem/color guard, etc was really nice. The players just come out to the field (pitch) and line up with some kids and then it starts like 2 minutes later. The end of the game the ref (official?) just blows his whistle and everyone is the English version of "whelp!" and stands up and leaves.

That is really cool. I actually imagined Newcastle as one of the more modern stadiums but that might just be certain additions. Like so many of them seem to be 4 distinct stands

It didn't seem "old", but just didn't have that "premium" experience that pro sports in America pushes. The prices were surprising too, a bottle of water was only £2.50!

I got lucky and found a single that was a third the price of the surrounding seats. Definitely recommend this strategy.

At Anfield, the visitors section is completely walled off from the rest if the stadium and they won’t let you in if you’re wearing anything supporting Liverpool.  Anfield also has super narrow entrances. It almost seemed like entering a prison.

It looks like you had a great time.

The Liverpool / Man U game was fun and bizarre. I still can't quite understand how Man U managed to stay in it.

Scottish race for the title looks like it will go down to the final day.

United are currently giving up between 20-30 shots per game which is among the worst in all of Europe. This has been mitigated in part by Onana who has settled in and been solid in goal. United also look like scoring at least 2 goals themselves per game. It's just pure chaos - which brings me back to the feeling that Ten Hag has given up. Not sure he'll survive the summer with new ownership.

Watched the Old Firm highlights too yesterday. What a game. Why did they get rid of away fans for this fixture? Sounded like they're bringing them back soon though.

I listen to this podcast called talk of the devils it's Manchester based, from the athletic. Anyway, they're pretty plugged in and they say that Radcliffe is bringing him back.

He's still preferable to Southgate or Potter. The options aren't great right now and Barcelona, Bayern, and Liverpool will already be looking as well.

That is great to hear that they're likely to bring Ten Hag back.

Yeah when I went to a Tottenham vs Chelsea game the entire section of Chelsea was surrounded by security.

Also same for when we were walking to the stadium, basically an entire house mounted police brigade made sure the Chelsea fans didn't just like eff with crap in the streets.

Will say the new Tottenham stadium is pretty premium and had a huge (short side of the field long) pub area. Can attest prices were very reasonable but you only could only drink outside the stands and not within. Nothing really could be brought in. Also the gender makeup was like 99% guys. Like I get sports are more dude driven but it was incredibly one sided. I feel like most K-State football games are at least 65-35. It was seriously like 99-1 there.
