That isn't exactly straight. It's crystal clear on the overhead broadcast shot because it's right on the grass cut line. When the analyst said on the broadcast "it looks like he was offside" I thought no way. I jumped back and his right foot was on one side of that line, all three defenders held the line right on that line. I have no dog in this fight, Salah and Kane are my favorite non Man U players O.A.T., and like I said at first I thought he was, but it's so clear on the overhead that I'd bet every dollar I have.
They being said, that play and the second penalty weren't by any means egregious errors, although the Salah goal definitely gets overturned on VAR, maybe on the second penalty, not because Lamela dove but because he turned his body into the contact, but he was definitely kneed in the hip.
I don't think anyone got screwed, thanks to Kane missing the first penalty. I'd rather talk about Waynama and Salah having goal of the year candidates within 10 minutes of each other.
