def not in the last 15 years or so that i've been following... crap, champions league five years ago or whatever was amazing. honestly, as an american i feel the consistent results over this time period / at least being in the run for champions league most years as more important than a title. i'm not having regular battles in the office with "Gooner Alan from Accounting", so for me and i imagine many others there's not any authentic difference between the top four spots. a league title would be great and all just to chill out the narrative (i'll have to ask my parents how it was back then), but i care more about the overall club health and standings that come from striving to be a consistent champions league team. i view it more as a 25M GBP cash prize or whatever.
you know how pissed you probably are about how this year has gone? i'd love for the club to be at the point where i feel the same way.
