Last year Celtic was eliminated from Champion's League qualifying because the other team fielded an ineligible player even though they beat Celtic on aggregate. They were then actually eliminated the next round.

This year, they were eliminated by Malmo which apparently is a club from Scandanavia.

Celtic used to consistently make it to the round of 16 or at least top 3 in group and go to Europa.

city offers champions league football every season. same reason united has trouble getting stars (pedro, ramos) to come to manchester.

For as big a club that Celtic is, it sure is a shame they can't make it past qualifying in Europe. Now their entire season is walking to the SPL title, and hoping they draw Rangers in the Scottish cup to create a small bit of excitement.

Yeah I used to kind of follow them because they were very fun to root for in champions league but now it is awful.
