Jimmy is easily one of the best in MLS. Definitely not THE best. Rimando is.

Also, there was no way in hell he was going to be able to save that shot. Trying would be pointless. It's kinda like when MLB players hit a soft grounder right back to the pitcher, and they're 99% going to be out by a mile. Except in this case, it's 100% out of reach. Professional goal keepers can tell. That's why they're pros. It has nothing to do with him being old. If you've watched him since he got here a few years ago, you'd know that.

sunny, you're part of the problem. The Puma had lost a few steps man. Stop making excuses for an aging keeper who is built up by our fans to be something he is not. Start being part of the solution not the problem. #PumaExtinction

Who are your top 5 MLS keepers, Scott? I'm not saying he's Tim Howard. He's just one of the best in a weak goalkeeper league.

Mine are Gspurning, Rimando, Nielsen, Kennedy, Hall (no particular order but Rimando #1)

Also, who did you have in mind to replace him? I know not Kronberg (although I love him), and Kempin isn't ready yet (if he ever will be ready.)

EDIT: Forgot about Raul Fernandez. Put him in place of Nielsen. Nielsen would be 6 then.

You mean are about to make??? The only move Arsenal has made is for Yaya Sanogo, a young French talented striker probably not ready for significant minutes. I hear Higuain is in the works, but nothing is done yet.

Also, congrats on unloading Arshavin for free.

yeah i was there and it was fun, but i don't think Jimmy tried on that free kick  :frown:

Jimmy is not as good as we (skc fans) have built him up to be.
He is as awesome as we build him up to be (not at gk).

NEWS: ?#?SportingKC? has loaned C.J. Sapong and Kevin Ellis to USL PRO affiliate Orlando City SC.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

It's kinda weird that the loan system in the US is more like a Major League/AAA relationship rather than the ways loans work in Europe. Hope CJ can get some good minutes, he hasn't been good this year and other strikers are passing him up. Orlando's season is done in August though, so expect him back around the end of that month.

Yeah cause it's not like Spurs don't need strikers. Idiots.

Rumors that Dempsey may go to Sunderland and play with Altidore. USAFC! Would be really good to have them play club football together the season before the world cup.

As of this season. Before this season, we had a reserve league that the younger players played in. Sometimes they would play lower division teams.

i mean, if you want to call dempsey a striker, then go ahead. but he isn't.

sigurdsson is seen as the future, and he and dempsey essentially play the same position. i think the thought is to sell him while we can, but as an american, i'd really like to keep him.

Maarten Stekelenburg - Played for Ajax and AS Roma.  Netherlands keeper as well.  No drop-off at keeper for Fulham.  Though I will miss Schwarzer.
