So, time to brag, during my Scotland trip we had to stay a night in London (due to flight cancellations), and was able to get with one of friends who is Tottenham fan (as am I and even more so the friends I went with) so we went to the Chelsea game, sucked for Tottenham, not sucking for the experience:

Awesome, how did you get tickets?

Very cool, Andy. I'm also curious about Rusty's question, StubHub?

Crap haven't been in this thread in a bit (and to answer Mir as well). Tickets were acquired through said college friend's brother who has access to up to like 6 tickets, so we originally due to actually buying them online (which apparently is damn near impossible talking to my friend after we got them and trying in vain while in Scotland before we came down). They definitely crack down on fraudulent tix a lot and crap you not you have to have it scanned 3 times just to get into the game at 3 different stations. Was sort of weird experience on that part. Because it was a Wednesday night and Tottenham needed 2 goals just to tie Chelsea in the EFL cup they were a little more available.

United's first trip back to Elland Road in 18 years was a Premier League classic yesterday. That stadium is a chowder keg.

Very bitter bunch. It was fun but I would love to see them relegated again.

The great part was that Chelsea subbed out a goalie who had played his ass off for a goalie that didn’t stop a single kick and then sailed his kick to lose.

Penalties are pretty easy to score, yes there is a lot of pressure but the score rate is 5% easier  average in the premier league to score a penalty than the nba FT percentage.

If you are comparing Premier League penalties (no PK shootouts) and NBA free throws, you have to keep in mind that only the best penalty takers take penalties compared to everyone shooting free throws in the NBA.

That’s true. I found this which has stats on penalty shootouts specifically.

The numbers are worse, but not much worse for the first 5 with 70%+ for all shooters. It also has some stats on very long shootouts where players have to shoot a second time.

I would like to address the speculation in media over the past few days in relation to my ownership of Chelsea FC. As I have stated before, I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. In the current situation, I have therefore taken the decision to sell the Club, as I believe this is in the best interest of the Club, the fans, the employees, as well as the Club’s sponsors and partners.
