Anyone just see that?  :horrorsurprise:

Someone just threw something from the crowd and hit Jimmy Nielson in the face, gushing blood. Gave him stitches on the field.
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

Yeah, who needs to leave the field when they can stitch you up right there on the turf.  Unbelievable.  Fun match tonight.

Nielsen was struck by a piece from an Omar Bravo bobblehead doll, one of thousands given away to fans in attendance. The Danish keeper lay on the field for 4 minutes but was able to continue after being checked out by medical personnel.

Two people were arrested.

Nielsen, who was getting a drink beside the goal when he was hit, said he's had objects thrown at him “a million times, but never at home.

“It happens,” he said. “It's no big deal.”

I'm assuming it was on purpose?  Were they drunk?  Did anyone try to kick their ass (didn't appear so from my seats far away)?  I WANT ANSWERS BONERCAT!

I was the closest person to Jimmy as it went down(front row on south end). Saw it happen and at first I thought the object was something much smaller. Also thought he was being dramatic. Then saw the blood coming out of his eye, and the bobble head, and a bunch of pissed off players/security trying to figure out what the he'll happened. After pretty much schooling everyone on the incident they sniffed out the perps.

There were four guys one section over from me that the cops questioned then later took them upstairs for more. They were maybe 5th or 6th row. Asian looking guy, the KState ex qb, and others. They found the Asian looking dudes headless bobble head, and the guys in front of them told the cops the perps were calling people and talking about it after it happened.

As they escorted them all up, heavy booing ensued. And the former pride of ksu backup qb land promptly flipped everyone the bird and told us to go eff ourselves. Classy guy.

All in all, very entertaining. I think they'll say it wasn't intentional. It looked like it hit Jimmy pretty hard (not quite a line drive but definitely not a floater). Figured they were just trying to be naturally deuchey but over tossed the bobble head. If just a tad softer on the throw, it'd have split my head open and no one would give a crap!

Why did the goalkeeper go down for 4 minutes? Jesus christ its like soccer players automatically fall to the ground no matter what touches them.

Holy cow what a game.

Indeed. Had great seats to witness a great game on a field that looks just awful at the moment. I love how the second Landon Donovan got on the field everyone started spewing their angry venom towards him. Made for a great atmosphere after the first half was pretty dull in terms of crowd excitement.

From my angle in the first half it looked like the Galaxy's goal was offside. Replays after showed it was not. So I'm over that.

What I'm not over is them calling Collin offside on his goal for us, when he was clearly not. The ref was so unbalanced in his calls that it just really made the game hard to watch (lack of a flow).

That said, I'm so happy we got the draw last night. Because if the Galaxy had been with all of their major impact players on the pitch, we'd have been rick-rolled.

It was nice to see our captain Arnaud get back into the game and take a Beckham ball off his face on the free kick to help us preserve the tie. THAT A BOY DAVEY!  :comeatme:

As for the keeper thing, I dont know what is being referenced  :dunno:
