Gosh, I hope they don't do that in Bramlage. It's kinda like Ron Prince's teams coming out of the tunnel with a fog machine. These guys aren't rock stars who need that kinda gimmick, and besides, I think we see our teams as basic, hard-working, no-nonsense workaday student-athletes that come out and take care of business. The show-biz stuff that the NBA does seems somehow inappropriate, and out-of-place is Manhattan, KS. To me, anyway. But who am I?

And I also think going dark in the venue creates a potential safety issue for those on the steps.  I don't know how many of you have ever been part of a performance where you're doing something in spotlights, but I have (in a band), and it can be disorienting.

Like a stereotypical preacher: And Moses came down from the MOUN-tain-nuh, and he told the peo-ple-uh, I have spoken to GOD-duh." Sounded on TV like he was doing the Sprint Center game, right? I think he does the basic job fine, but as when he was on KMAN-AM, he seems to play too much to his own voice. It sounds contrived.
