That's really about it, I wish I could come up with more, but I just had the same experiences you all had.  There were a few sort of smaller incidents which didn't result in a ban, more of a shunning by the 'tucks' if you will.  There was some thread where people suggested band songs around the national anthem medley at pregame.  The original author and a bunch more wanted either different or more America songs.  I mentioned something to the tune of that whole routine already being way too long, out-dated, borderline nationalistic etc.  As I was promptly told, I hate America, should move to Lawrence, hate veterans; I should join the communist party, join the Taliban, put down my copy of Mein Kampf and every other cliche'd insult you'd expect from a group of Howdy-Doodies.  It really was quite hilarious.  The "go to Lawrence" part is usually my favorite.  I love the notion that any fan that doesn't conform to fundamentalist mordern-day Tea Party crap needs to turn in their EMAW and support the enemy, because that's obviously who they identify with the most.

I'm pro Jenn Bates now :emawkid:

:dubious:

She apologized on air for being an bad person.  It seriously takes a big person to do that and in all my years working in and watching media I know about 5 people who would do that and none of them would be assholes on air anyway.

When?  And for a specific instance of being an bad person or her whole life?  If the latter, what's changed?  What now?

She was talking about the article written about Lolo Jones and people talking about Gabby Douglass' hair.  She was talking about people in social media (she absolutely referenced Gooch though not by name) and people in mass media being jackasses to athletes who work hard and people they don't know (remember Bates mentioning me on air last year was because of an exchange we had because I thought, her as a not-fit, old town dwelling, binge drinking lazy ass didn't have the right to make fun of athletes, including mocking Albert Pujols when he was hurt).  She said she has been guilty of doing this, apologized, and said she would try to change.  Well since then she has dropped the snark, and has completely not been an bad person.  Also I determined that what and who she does around town is of no concern if she is not being the bitchy hypocritical bad person she has disavowed.

Well it is true the pregame song lineup is unquestionably great.  Stop rocking the boat.

Anybody else married to a KU grad?   Reply
KU week or as I like to call it "No sex week" Is still so totally worth it.  I graduated from K-State in 99 and my wife from KU in 2000.  We've been together for 10 years, married for seven, and have two daughters.  All I did was ask a simple question "Are you ready to have your ass handed to you?"  Her response which is typical of a KU fan "Wait til basketball season and find your own dinner tonight"  smh at these KU fans.

The only positive to marrying a KU grad is you can slap her (or him) around and not feel guilty about it!  OMG DID HE REALLY SAY THAT?

1. All the Kstate girls knew me so I blew that
2. Kstate girls when i went there were... well umm... husky.
3. Kstate is very important to me, but not my life... ok that was a lie... see #1 and #2

Married to a K-State grad. I wouldn't have married a ku grad but I know there is no way a ku grad would have ever married me.

I'm in the same boat.  When we first started dating she was a big ku bb fan(went to most games and even attended tourny games).  She was so pissed at me when I rooted against ku in the title game they lost to syracuse.  Over the years she's pretty much stopped watching ku in anything and probably dosen't even know ku/Ksu play this week(we live out of state so no news coverage).   Our kids only have Ksu gear.  Last night my little girl said she wanted to be a cheerleader for Halloween.  Without consulting me, she went varney's website and found a Ksu one and paid 3 times as much for it as opposed to just getting her a generic one.

I wouldn't say she's converted but she's at least a purple lean now.

Also very good.  He hammered all the husky girls so they wouldn't be his wife, but also, you know, "no fat chicks"

So is it just wait until basketball season until he gets some?  Or is it wait until basketball season until he doesn't get some?  Does it involve ass pounding?  Or face punching?  Is it very Christian-like to be talking about this?

Kinda weirded out here.
