Not to mention I moved into a new apartment this week, which consumed a lot more of my free time than I anticipated.

Me replying to this with "Hey GPCBrett, this is how you do it..." got me banned.

getting way off topic, my friends gpc account got banned back in the fall of 2010... his dad logged on to his account after fitz announced some recruitment news, and kept spamming him with "it's patterson!" messages.

OT: Conversion Vans
Does anyone know anything about conversion vans?  I am thinking about getting one to take to all the football games I go to... high school, junior rec league, and of course K-State games. What would a 2003 chevey Express 1500 Explorer Hi-top conversion van with less than 70,000 miles, that is in immaculate condition, be worth to buy from an individual?  It is hard to look at Kelly Blue Book because of the conversion.  I know everyone wants SUV's now but it seems to me these things would be sweet for tailgating and traveling.  Thanks.

The problem with SUVs is all the windows.  That's what's sweet about the Conversion - better for kidnappings, and such.  Also, wayyyyyyy OT, but is it a crime to scratch off the VIN# and afix a false license plate?  TIA

Mostly this just sounds like an excuse for providing their players with a $500+ toy. And though the ability to wipe it remotely is obviously desirable, they're also losing an iPad instead of $4 worth of notebook and photocopies. Wonder how many of these the players will "lose" and sell to fellow students.

------------------------------------------------

MSCat02 is going to be a little taken aback when he/she finds out that a considerable amount of film/gameplanning etc. etc. at K-State is done on them rascal 'puters.

Plus, I don't know where MSCat is buying his binders, but apparently he's getting a HELL of a deal.

Stanford Coach:  Hey, where's your Ipad.

Player:  Oh, I just sold it to a buddy.

Stanford Coach:  Oh okay, go get another one then.

It certainly has to be a concern, but the bigger concern is old fashioned theft or loss.

I picked the absolute worst time to get blacklisted.  The creeper lawyer who got charged with using his iphone/ipad to take upskirt pictures of his employees is commenting on concern of information getting stolen off an ipad.  He countersued his employees who found the pictures with some sort of attempted theft complaint for them getting onto his iphone/ipad to find out what he was doing.  That complaint was thrown out.

not only does he still post there but my guess is that fitz gave him premium for life in exchange for sharing his stash of pictures with him.

I found an article that said his complaint in the countersuit is that they got onto his device and deleted the pictures.  I'm not a lawyer, but I'm thinking if you are suing for someone deleting the pictures off your iphone, then you are probably already admitting guilt.

Link?  There's no countersuits in a criminal case and I haven't heard of the women suing him civilly.  They may not have issued their pre-suit HAHAHAHAHA letter yet.  It looks like he's seeking a diversion for the 2 criminal counts of eavesdropping.  Johnson County Case # is 12 CR 1286.

I'll link when I get back to my office, but one of the KC stations had an article say they are suing for $75,000 each and that he sued them for deleting the photos and a judge dismissed it. Countersuit probably wasn't he right term to use.

I see the civil suit now.  It's a Federal case, 11 CV 2693.  The damages sought are in excess of $75K (75K is a minimum number you have to list).  kcatty first tried to get a ruling that pleadings would be filed under seal as he filed that counterclaim you speak of so it's not visible, but plaintiffs' response is, and yeah, they got the counterclaim dismissed.  Absent a settlement, it'll be a while.
