"What's ya'lls battle cry?" (long)   Reply
So when I went to the Auburn/K-State game a few years ago I was asked this question no less than a dozen times.  I finally asked a guy what the hell a battle cry was and he told me that they say "War Eagle" to everything.  When they see someone in an airport with Auburn gear they look at that person and say or shout, "War Eagle."  It's like "Boomer Sooner" except I've never heard anyone call "Boomer Sooner" a battle cry.  Most schools have something like this if you think about it.

At first I said, "I don't know, I don't think we have one."  Then I started telling people it was, "Go Cats!"  That's generally what I yell at nobody in particular when I'm drunk and fired up walking to the stadium from the tailgate.  It's not much of a "battle cry" though, I was embarrassed to tell people this.

I make a habit of wearing K-State stuff when I'm in airports  and I was coming back from Vermont on Saturday.  As I was walking down the aisle of my plane a guys says, "Hey nice shirt, I went to K-State!"  I was excited and surprised (considering I was in Vermont) so I stumbled over an awkward, "...all right man, that's awesome, Go Cats."  Then I tried to fist bump him and he tried to shake my hand.  It was a terrible mess of shared allegiance and I haven't felt less cool in a while.

Anyway it made me really wish that we had something clean, a "War Eagle" if you will.  I suppose the closest thing we have is, "Every Man a Wildcat."  I've had some fellas in their mid to late 40s say that to me before but I don't believe it's commonplace amongst my generation or the millennials (I'm almost 30).

So since it's slow I thought I'd ask the board its opinion.  Should Wildcat nation adopt "Every Man a Wildcat" as their official battle cry?  Did they already and I missed the memo?  Is there something else out there that I'm not thinking of?  Is there something cool that we should adopt that hasn't even been thought of yet?

PS I really hate the idea of people saying "EMAW" to each other like it's a word.  I'm also adamantly opposed to any other version of the word "man" and I'd really not like to turn this thread into that type of discussion but it's probably unavoidable.

I used "fear the beard" in an airport once and it worked.

I think our battle cry should be "for fatty"; most other fans would be WTF (War Eagle?  :dunno: )and it would make a good story for SI or GameDay.
