Academics is a stupid word.Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not. So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

I assume Lamur will be playing the hybrid spot? That's pretty much exactly the kind of guy (body type) that I would like to see there. Loved how Garrett was always around the ball but that dude is way too small to play anywhere other than cb.

The termonology for positions remains pretty much the same, but K-State's scheme will be more of a traditional 4-3 with a strong and free safety spot. Garrett moved to DB/CB b/c his old spot doesn't really exist. Lamur moved up into one of the LB spots and he practices with the LBs now, not the DBs. At least he was last week.
