I have NO idea what is going on, but Canada tied it up, and then we scored again.

Go USA, hit that thingy into the net and don't let the other guys do it!

Do not like hockey. Having said that, I've watched this entire game and it has been very entertaining. Wish it was the gold medal game.

It's become glaringly obvious that it's not a touchdown when the ref (?) puts both arm straight up in the air.

I noticed that too. They only get one point each time that happens so I'm guessing its like an extra point, not sure what they have to do in order to get the extra point.

Don't understand the hockey dislike by most Americans. When it was actually on TV before the whole "season lockout" thing, I watched it on ESPN all the time. Playoff hockey is also fantastic, and this USA vs CAN game was great.

Any elite Scandinavians here? I'm only part Norweigian/Swedish so the only benefit I get is the sunburns

Anyway, is the Sweden-Finland rivalry more like Missouri/Illinois or Missouri/Kansas? B/c I always thought that Norway/Sweden would be like Kansas/Missouri. TIA

Ha, didn't even know the USA did hockey. Probably didn't do it very hard or really organize our team or anything though. I'm sure we just threw together some of our D-list athletes and mopped the stadium with the Canadians in their national sport. Pretty much par for the USA course.

I love how much Mexico hates us. Estadio Azteca seriously has los fanaticos mas enojados del mundo. I saw people gagging themselves into plastic cups and then hurling vomit on Landon Donovan during corner kicks. Just unreal. So proud of Lando for literally pissing all over their field.
