Sqwawks "reload"
« on: April 11, 2011, 10:31:23 AM »
(For those who don't give a cac about tuck discussions)

With a 6-8 "prospect." Sqwawkers sure he's an All-American in three years with Manning's coaching. Sounds like the second coming of P.J. Phug (sp?) to me.

The three-star player, who was once committed to DePaul and is currently unranked by Rivals.com, chose the Jayhawks over Kentucky, Arizona, Florida, Missouri and Memphis.

Kid dropped out of school and is now studying at home.  He is definitely ku material.

Rumblings he wanted AZ but they backed off.

Kinda sad that ku now has to resort to "3 star fits", I guess you can only lose to so many mid majors before your recruiting takes a hit.

Kind of makes you wonder if Compton's business is having financial problems.

I think the Junction City milk cow for Compton has dried up...it may be tough to put very many more players' family members on his payroll.

Exactly. That's why he got teabagged all the time.

Anderson isn't going to do much to help this year in my opinion, but we needed another big and he was probably the best available. Marcus came in as a 4* and left as an All American and most likely a lottery pick, so you never know.

A very tuck-like and hopeful observation.

'cus was rated 29th best prospect in the country by Rivals.  you usually do know.

The potential #1 overall pick in the '11 NBA Draft was a 3-star as well:

Love it when Ben can shift gears and rail on any 3 star that K-State gets, and then make a 3 Star that KU gets sound like a completely underrated prospect who is destined for the NBA lottery.

Grats Beems . . . Fantastic work.

Grats Beems . . . Fantastic work.

The difference is that this guy had visits lined up to Arizona and Kentucky before committing to KU.  He's a traditional "late bloomer" type of prospect who everyone wanted at the 11th hour.

Not according to the kid.  AZ wouldn't call him back.

lol, no he wasn't.  bossi himself said that anderson's talk about his recruitment didn't match the reality.

I'm scheduled to play half-time at next year's Superbowl.  Just waiting Goodell's call to set it up.
