Historic Final Four this Weekend
« on: March 29, 2011, 12:27:42 PM »
This weekend's Final Four will be the ONLY one every played without a 1 seed or a 2 seed.  The FIRST ever!  rough ridin' HISTORY right there on the television.  I'd imagine that your serious "college basketball fans" will be glued to the TV sets, I mean it's HISTORIC.

BUT WAIT, it gets better!

Plus, you have the wonderful match up of likely Naismith player of the year Kemba Walker against THE bluesest of the bluebloods in Kentucky with their amazing freshman point guard Brandon Knight (best in the country)....WOW, how could a serious "college basketball fan" not want to watch that?

BUT WAIT, it gets better!

On the other side of the bracket is the unbelievable story of Butler reaching their SECOND CONSECUTIVE FINAL FOUR!  Talk about a top notch program to watch on your television.  Serious "college basketball fans" would probably blow a hobo to get a chance to watch a team in their second consecutive final four.  OMG, this final four is rough ridin' AMAZING!

BUT WAIT, it gets better!

VCU, is making history as the VERY FIRST "play-in" team to reach the final four!  HOLY HELL, THIS IS HISTORIC!  What serious "college basketball fan" would want to miss this first-time-ever event?  I mean you have a real god damn Disney movie playing out before your rough ridin' eyes!

You add all this up, and how do you NOT have the very best Final Four in the history of college basketball?  How, I rough ridin' ask you?  Basically, if you don't watch this Final Four, then you are not a serious "college basketball fan."

abso-rough ridin'-lutely, Pete.

It has the makings of a great "david vs. goliath" story.  Either way, Butler or VCU will be the inferior "david" while on the other side, UK and UCONN will be the "goliath" (because they're the 2 blue bloodest programs in the nation).

Yep.  Can you imagine anyone who enjoys college basketball NOT watching this final four?

Off the top of my head, the only people that I can imagine NOT watching this historic final four are grandmas, infants, queers, and people who aren't fans of college basketball.   :ck:

The average seed for the Final Four is 6.5  :surprised:

Just a great Final Four if you ask me.

yeah, me too, but because they're the only team that would beat our wildcats.  I know that, given the chance, the KSU Wildcats would have easily handled Butler or VCU.

Really glad we've got a system in places that gets the four best teams in college basketball playing for the title.

Should be fun at work later this week.  Loads of KU fans here, and almost all of them consider themselves serious college basketball fans.  It'll prolly be all the talk.  Can't wait!

So you've already forgiven them for that 1951 National Championship game huh Steve Dave?  Very disappointed.

Steve Dave is NOT a serious college basketball fan.  He basically thinks basketball started in 1988, ended in 1989, then picked back up with Huggieville.  :jerk:

The only thing to make it better would be if there was a 5 seed in there.

I'm rooting for Kentucky as well. It's always great to see another blueblood run over non-bluebloods.ß

Pete, come by the club.  I have a case of Woodford Reserve from a client.  We will drink some hoops, and drink some Kentucky bourbon. I plan on sending some invites to some ku fans I know because they are hardcore hoops fans who will NOT want to miss these matchups.

We need that in purple with a silver Frank or FTB.   :emawkid:
