I'll be interested to see if Frank gets another D1 head coaching job, or if he's even interested. His health has been awful the past couple of years.

the fact that we haven't made an announcement yet gives me hope that its b/c we have our sights set on someone whose team is currently still participating in postseason play

Exactly. It takes time to obtain a restraining order, and after Brad gets one against Gene I assume we’ll immediately hire one of our backup options.

I mentioned this earlier but the timing could not have been better for bringing Brad home.

In regards to US States...

KS is the leading producer of wheat which is up like a bagillion percent over the past 6 months.

KS is also a top 10 producer of oil which is up like slightly less than a bagillion percent over the last 6 months.

"Ad Astra Per Aspera" need not apply here (Except for Brad probably gets a chub every time he hears the phrase like most Kansans)

Mack was running a dirty program at Louisville and he was being blackmailed by an assistant coach that he was friends with for over 20 years. That's a hire that Xavier can make just fine but for most high major ADs he's a real risky hire and I'm not sure his performance at Louisville justifies the high risk. He could still face NCAA sanctions for what he was being blackmailed for.

There's no way Archie Miller was going to get a good high major job, not without him being someone's 10th option. Rhode Island was a great landing spot.

Sean Miller, even more high risk high reward than Mack. He would make sense at a place who needs to take a huge swing but won't be left in a worse place if he blew up. A Huggins hire for us back in 2007. I don't know what current opening is best for him. Honestly, I think Missouri would beat good fit for him, their program has been in shambles since they've gone to the SEC. I don't think they have a lot to lose right now.
