To those Kansans who missed the game and have been asking me if the officials were really that bad:

Yes, the refs were about as bad as can be. I know that people don't like to "blame" the refs but I couldn't care less about looking petty for blaming them. Their starting effing frontline didn't record one foul all game. There were multiple times when a Morii would be in the air, get pushed in midair only to not see a foul call. The blocking/charging fouls all went against us as well.

We were missing free throws left and right, but if their bigs would have had some fouls to worry about things might have been different. If a few more fouls would have been called then we would have gotten to the double bonus faster. At least five points were given to VCU through bad foul calls, probably more if I really want to sit down and think about it.

It disgusts me. It's infuriating that we're about the only rough ridin' perennial power that doesn't get the treatment from the refs that the others do. Every once in awhile I see a game where I think the other team is getting screwed, but it should be more given the way Kentucky's games, UNC's games and Duke's games are reffed.

Seriously though, it's ufortunate that we don't get the calls like the ACC, SEC and Big East darlings. It should not matter where you are from, who you are or who you are playing. We are freaking Kansas! We aren't asking for calls we don't deserve....just call the game even and right!

Listening to the pre-game, the National CBS crap with John Thompson...I told my ife, "It's like they all want VCU to win, like they (CBS/Other coaches) want/need a Cinderella to make the NCAA all warm and fuzzy". I told her that I bad feeling that the fix was in. Hated to miss the game- glad I did with what I'm seeing re:the ref treatment. Ugh!

And it's too bad when a known cheater, Jim Calhoun, can take a team with 1 really good player and 1 good freshman and get to the FF and on the other hand a team with a ton of talent and a coach that does it the right way...not to mention what these guys have been through this year, can't get the same treatment or whistle that uConn does/did. Anybody that has watched uConn the last 3 games, knows they get the whistle....pathetic!

Did you guys notice how at the end of the game VCU hardly even celebrated? Grumblings that Shaka instructed them to "act like they have been there." I mean, they just sorta stood around after the final buzzer, no one jumped up and down or anything. That's bullshit.

I thought I would have calmed down by now, but I'm still outraged. We are KANSAS!!!!!!!!!!! I have every right to feel like I do right now. It is the fourth disappointing loss in eight years. We should have one this game!! I am sooo glad to have people rub the loss in my face - NOT. Bill Self is great in the regular season but he cannot do it in the post-season!!!!!! We have a national championship but people tend to forget that.

I mean, it seemed like these guys were strategically making calls. Their stretch in the first half where they didn't get a single f***ing foul called on them opened it up, and when TRob came in he got a quick questionable two.

When we started to make the run in the second half, those were the single two worst calls all tourney long. ALL TOURNEY LONG!
