a different, non-kellis focused postgame press conf thread

martin talked about the last play.  was yelling at spradling because he was told to shoot if left open.  was open and passed.

not sure exactly where this link will take you.  i think you'll get to the main vids page.  have to click pressers, then choose the kstate vid.

If that's the case then I can't blame Sprads too much. I'd get the ball to Pullen there too.

Spradling was also unbelievably wide open after he passed it to Jake.

per martin, spradling shoots the cover off the ball coming off a dribble; is just average on a catch&shoot.  interesting nugget.

At least interesting that Sprads was the 2nd option with the season on the line.

Who else was going to be the 2nd option tonight?  Airball McGrubes?  Shane McNooffense? Sprads was the 2nd option by default.

I found it weird that Frank was on him so hard after that. Makes sense now.

curtis kelly?  jam sam?  the play could have been designed a little better but if i were frank i would have put in jakes hands as well.

it may be a little revisionist, but when you listen to martin talking about it, it sounds more like spradling was the 1st option.  or at least option 1b.  talks about how, if they doubled pullen, as he expected them to do, that spradling was to shoot.

sprads, freshmen, pushed it to senior leader.  No problem with what he did.  Sucks, but he is just a frosh.
