I'm not saying that he's got to be up on the podium screaming ALL IS WELL!!

But we see on ongoing series of actions that say he's at least completely aloof and disinterested or at worst he actually wants these things to happen and he's just biding his time to impose his desires in the mode of "Let no crisis go to waste".

One of our main Allies and G8 partner countries is in dire straits, U.S. citizens are involved, U.S. military is involved, possible radiation from an extremely troubled nuclear power is possibly headed towards the United States, the surgeon general is telling U.S. Citizens on the West Coast to prepare to protect themselves from radiation . . . and where is Barry . . . in Rio. What was the main topic of his Sat Radio Address? Gender fairness in the workplace, what was the topic of his last U.S. public appearance?? Education.

Fascinating.

Obama is dropping the Uranium 238 on this one. But at least half of the fault is Japan for not telling us how bad things are. It's 3am and I have no rough ridin' clue where Barry Obama is.

He's like an old-school Republican (before the party got taken over by the crazies in the 70s). He doesn't want to intervene in anything international if he can possibly avoid it. He's only stuck in Afghanistan because it seems like the course of action with the least resistance from the military and the general public. I just wish he'd take a rough ridin' side and provide some leadership on something. He's definitely looking noodly on these crises.
