Plenty of Gentiles in Utah. Quality of living. Yes, see quality of life. Yes, liquor laws suck and Utah is a theocracy, but I seem to get bent with no problems. Mo's love watching good family programming. Don't know about wives/children/buggies. SLC is cool, Great Salt Lake is an incredible view, but the bugs suck. Don't bother going.

Who here enjoys brine shrimp? There's also nice island in the middle of the Salt Lake where you can get a great view. I seriously recommend you cats check it out sometime. Pack some sun screen, eight to nine cans of bug repellent and make the trip.

I considered Utah (SLC) for a relocation but really there is no upside compared to surrounding states/metros. The culture is far behind other Rocky Mountain cities like Denver or Boise. The outdoor opportunities and regulation are much better in other western states like Idaho or Montana. That's certainly evident as you find a lot of "U-tards" (as they call them) travelling to surrounding states to fish and hunt. Lastly, there's the strong Mormon or anti-Mormon feelings that persist. In some companies, being LDS helps big, and in others, NOT being LDS helps big. I really didn't want to give up a good thing to go and be judge on my religion or lack thereof.
