Oh.

Though, according to Clams, Stunz isn't out of the woods yet.  Could still die.

Buddy of mine designs these things.  He said...

Quote
The one explosion they keep showing was of the secondary containment.  This means everything is still fine and radiation levels released are no more then if you were to get an x-ray.  It doesn't affect the surroundings but once it is all over, the reactors will be shot and probably never create power again.

This is closer to what happened at Three-Mile Island than Chernobla. Three-Mile Island lost containment when the rods melted a hole in the containment vessel. The Secondary Vessel contained most of the radiation. Problem with the Japanese reactors is they have lost the secondary containment structure. WHEN the core melts through the primary vessel then the high level radiation will not be contained. It the China Syndrome or in this case the North American Syndrome. If the super heated core makes its way in contact with a large pool of ground water then you will get a big bang. This is not cool

Will the affect China and it's economy in any way?  If so will they cash in all the American stock/bond stuff they own and then take over the USA and kick us out.   :ohno:

$40M = not a lot of cool boats bumping into each other and one or two nice beach houses.
