Last time she was out of town instead of buying Santitas I bought some fancy tortilla chips with black beans and salsa built in. Then I ate them all and disposed of the bag so she wouldn't know I bought a $5 bag of chips.     :gocho:

It is though.  I always talk to different people on the phone.  Do you always talk to the same person on the phone everyday?

just had one of these days yesterday.   When you have kids, you manage to fit all of the stuff mentioned in this thread withing a 12 hour period though.  Wanking with the porn volume up is spot on.

this misses an interesting point.  it's not necessarily about doing things that you feel you can't do otherwise.  it's not even about doing things that you ever actually want to do.  see feeling ill due to eating too much junkfood, for example.  it's more about doing something different than usual, and perhaps something stupid, because it's sort of a societal tradition.  it almost approaches holiday status, really.  despite what he may say, rd wouldn't really want to spend his life as a recluse.  and i don't don't ever really want to watch "guy movies."  but, hey, it's tradition!

I will usually eat an entire box of mac and cheese with cut up hotdogs in it straight out of the pot that I boiled it all in, watch Dirty Work, Old School, and other movies that my wife hates, take hour long showers and hopefully not not talk to anyone except the people on TV.  Oh also, stay up/sleep in very late.

I..... don't know.  In ten years of marriage, I can't think of one time that there has not been a wife or child in the house.  I don't know what alone means, unless I'm awake and everyone else is asleep.

Dude that sucks.   Make the wife take the kids away to see her parents or something.  If you live within 20 minutes of your in-laws than never getting the house to yourself is one of many failures in your life.

What about taking the day off of work while the kids are in school & wife is at work?   I assume since you've been married for 10 years that the kids are old enough for school & the wife isn't a stay at home mom.
