So in other words . . . NONE.

I'm ok driving 30 miles to have nonstop flights to more places than just Dallas or Chicago.

That 30min of nothing is what kills recruiting.

We do have a private airport and a university jet...

However, when they do go through Des Moines, they see:

Playing the role of Big Bro like K-State always does often means stepping aside and making sure the spotlight shines on little bro and helps build little bro's (ku) self esteem.

It takes a stiffer upper lip and broad shoulders but it's something that a Big Bro like K-State is willing to do for the rest of the family.

Hence why Iowa State has taken a back seat the last few years and allowed fellow flyover country state-schools to catch up.

How many daily jet service non stops in Ames, IOWA Havs??

Zero, we all fly private or drive 30 minutes to an INTERNATIONAL airport...

Why do they call it an international airport?

They fly outside of the US? :dunno:

No they don't, Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

:dubious:    This is either a special kind of stupid or a stupid try at sarcasm.

The name "International" still stands, gotta admit, it sounds cool. However, I've been able to be in Ames at 6am and in Los Angeles 5 hours later... Washington DC within 3. Meanwhile, your recruits from the east coast are zig zagging across the air traffic grid just to find the one airport that connects with Manhattan. They still see the amount of nothingness in Kansas from a plane window. Don't fool yourselves too much.

Somebody has to explain this "thanks phenomenon" you guys have cooked up?

I would have preferred you lay down for us and beat texas.   Then I would thank you.

Nubs and CU are the ones that deserve our thanks.

They lay down for us AND beat texas.  I don't know....I guess I'll give you a ck.  :ck:

I explained it earlier in the thread bro. Will accept bath and body works gift basket

Yeah, recruits love landing in Des Moines then taking a long car ride over swollen stinking creeks and through dirty cornfields instead of straight to campus.

So in other words . . . NONE.

I'm ok driving 30 miles to have nonstop flights to more places than just Dallas or Chicago.

That 30min of nothing is what kills recruiting.

what do you mean nothing?  there are fields and.... fields and..... fields......  There's fields!

Floded fields are the best kind of farm ground (after the flood goes away, of course).  I'm sure all the ISU recruits know this and are impressed.
