Feels good that KSU doesn't have to take these kinds of gambles on character cases.

I just popped my collar.

Had to go back for family issues.  Not the first time he has threatened to quit team.  Coaches had to rush to Kansas City Airport to try and talk him out of leaving.  Teammates hate him.

Also over half our returning players are failing drug tests.

***all info is from a current players dad***

So far the Turner Gill era is marked with good recruiting, poor coaching and even worse discipline.

MCMW, Wheat.   Wear it like a rough ridin' badge.

when you're ku football, you have to take chances on kids like these. glad we're not in that boat.
A better question is: Why did the kids you have take a chance on KSU??

An even better question is:  How did Nubb explain their tail tucking to their recruits?  How about the lying about not conceding the Big 12 to OU and UT?

And still a better question is:  Why do all of Bo's players hate his guts and want to leave?

hearing the kids a total momma's boy.  Everyone on the team thought he was a big baby and no one close to the team is surprised he took his ball and ran home crying.

Email I received from someone that I would consider to be a fairly reliable source...some info has been redacted to protect the guilty

Subject: dirty laundry
To: xxxxxxx
From: xxxxxxxxxx
Date: Fri, 4 Mar 2011 13:03:55 +0000

The guy is a bit of a drama queen, and maybe is bitter about his son not playing as much (possibly just because he isn't very good), but this is what xxxxx xxxxx's dad said about ku and the berglund situation:

"Here's a sampling: Teammates having ZERO confidence in a new arrival that has participated in only a handful of workouts, threatened to quit team, constant arguing with a girlfriend, sitting at KCI Airport and having to be talked back to Lawrence by KU Coaches, criticizing your new teammates, an OL that is threatening not to block for you, and comments being made to the local Lawrence media that hasn't sat too well with fellow KU players either. Yes, apparently a sick family member is in play as well. But, the other garbage isn't playing too well at the Anderson complex with players and coaches alike.

Need more: Why do some of these players feel the need to blatantly ignore the NCAA and University of Kansas Football Drug & Alcohol Policy? When you have mid year (new) arrivals, all the way up to seasoned Seniors failing drug test and some committing a second offense......well there is an issue there! What is Turner Gill to do? I can tell you this; Kansas would have a hard time fielding a Big XII caliber team if Gill dropped the hammer on some these knuckleheads. Yes, that's how blatantly ridiculous this last round of testing went. This is the exact reason some of you wonder why such and such isn't seeing the field throughout the season.

Already have new and returning players having issues in the classroom.

When does this nonsense end? I guess never, since it goes on everywhere around the country, right? The difference is that KU is not in the position to deal with this stuff and simply pull the next player up the depth chart.

Don't be so quick to criticize posters that are sick and tired of this behavior from KU Athlete's. The sad thing is, there are potential "Starters" getting into trouble already in this early off season. It's tiring and these young men have to grow up at some point in their careers."

They'll have a hard time fielding a Big 12 caliber team regardless, if history is any judge.

By the way, can we have this :bracketmouse:in a running back?
