Marcus only played 24 minutes in each matchup, scoring 10 points and grabbing 9 rebounds against K-State in AFH, while putting up 13 and 3 in Manhattan.  In contrast, Pullen averaged 35 minutes a game against the top 4 in the league.

He was in foul trouble both games. The ghost of Lisa Robinson carried them at AFH, so he wasn't needed. And future NBA'er JHR made him his bitch at Bramlage. Wait and see how he handles himself in the zoo.
My prediction: CUE THE ELBOWS!

It must also be considered that Marcus almost cost his team the title by shrinking away from the competition at the top of the league, leading them to a meager 2-2 record in those games.

I will say that the stats are a little misleading, though, mainly because both games against K-State were blowouts.  Marcus only played 24 minutes in each matchup, scoring 10 points and grabbing 9 rebounds against K-State in AFH, while putting up 13 and 3 in Manhattan.  In contrast, Pullen averaged 35 minutes a game against the top 4 in the league.  The bottom line is that the comparison is apples to oranges.

k.  I'll make it apples to apples

pp minute top 4
jake = .71
MM = .47

pp minute all big 12
jake = .63
MM = .63

It's still apples to oranges.  Pullen can put up 20 points on 8-22 shooting, while his team loses 90-66, and your stats will favor Pullen.  Marcus, meanwhile, is a much more efficient player.  He doesn't take nearly as many shots, or play nearly as many minutes, but he still averages around 19 ppg in conference play.  A strong argument can be made that the best player on the best team should win Big 12 POY, but I won't make it.

Using this logic, Pullen cost his team six games against good to average competition.

I've looked at the conference losses real quick looks like Pullen has averaged about 21 points a game in those games.   :ck:

I see what you did there.  You pulled out the one 8-22 shot for Pullen and ignored, say, a 6 of 17 shooting night for marcus.  I guess you missed that Pullen shot nearly (.448 to .463) what Morris did from the 3 vs. the field, overall.  Trying to compare efficiency numbers for a 6-0 guard from 23 feet against a 6-9 forward shooting from 10'- and in, is generally not the apples to apples....though in the 4 games Marcus took 41 shots while Jake took 72 shots and Jake's 1.38 pp shot > Marcus' 1.27 pp shot.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

By typing that you made it your argument.  And to continue beating the proverbial dead horse. Anderson won it for a middle of the pack OSU a year ago. Morris is just a good player on a good team.

Nice Jedi Mind Trick Beems . . . the numbers don't lie, Pullen has been superior against the conferences best teams, while Morris has been superior against the conferences worst teams.

Translation:  Pullen had the game of his life against KU in the Octagon of Jock Jams, while Marcus Morris has been more consistent all season.

Seriously though, does Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) #1 get any credit for the sheer volume of vicious, violent elbows he produces per game?

If by consistent you mean "Big-Game" McMoron consistently doesn't show up for tough spotlight games, then yes you are right.

28-2 and 1st in the Big 12 disagrees with you.

Is Jake Pullen's the Big 12 Leading Scorer??    Meanwhile Morris from the land of the weak ass flash mob and Hells Bells shrivels up in the face of the conferences top teams.

you guys are all mcmorons, if jake had a better team like McM his stats would be less impressive.  Thus, it's more about the teams than the player.  But since, the rest of KSt8 is meh, Jake has to be all Danny Manning-like and carry them every game.

Really feel for Jake considering the pressure he's under day-in-out.
