I like how Lunardi said during the Tech game that a loss there wouldn't hurt us.  It's fun being in an awesome conference!  :emawkid:

Yet we won and he moved us down to a 9 seed.

I think some teams that were above us, must of had some very important wins recently. That's the only explanation. Who did Arizona State beat recently?

You guys in or not? I hope you are, but only after a loss to us.

Ohio St lost to Penn St and Iowa is about to lose to Indiana. A win on Saturday could bump us up a line or two...

And ASU beat Arizona last week.

I'd be fine with bribing the appropriate people to be on the 8/9 line with Wichita State as the 1 seed in our region. Outside of that happening, we really need to get off that line.

Lunardi does this sometimes.  Don't sweat it.   We could beat Isu and he could have us up to a 7 seed.
If we win on Saturday that is exactly where we will be.... a 7 seed

*Memphis lost to a team whose rpi was higher than 150
*I thought Iowa was weak 6 or solid 7 seed coming into tonight.   They are 8-7 after their loss tonight.   They have 2 easy home games and at Sparty left.  The home wins wont do much since the opponents suck.

Both of those things were good news for us.

Sorry, but you don't have a clue what seed we'd be after we beat ISU.

We have won two conf roadies.  The tournament is nothing but roadies.  It doesn't matter what seed we get or who we play. Simply going this year is a big W.

Actually, tourny is nothing but domestic, neutral-site games.  And, we haven't lost one of those yet.  so.

Oh, that's dumb.

No it's not.  What's dumb is thinking that the team that lost all those early season games is the same one going into the NCAA's.

I would have to look up the article, but I recall the biggest correlation between tourney wins and regular season performance is actually home record, which is weird, but good for us.

I don't care what the article says, all I know is that this K-State team blows when they aren't playing in Bramlage.

The committee might, but I put no stock in what this team did in November. The Puerto Rico tournament feels like it happened three years ago. Sometimes I completely forget about the UNC game.

Fwiw... Records for the top 5 teams in the Big 12 since Nov. 23:

K-State: 17-6
KU: 18-6
ISU: 18-5
UT: 17-7
OU: 16-7

IMHO you can't compare a true road game to a neutral site game.  Especially when you consider the crowd intimidation factor that simply can't exist to the same level.  I would speculate all our road losses would have different outcomes if they were at a neutral court.
