can't count on isu, obviously.  but ku really let us down.  they have that weird thing with their coach though, so i guess we can't be mad.

Yeah that should really count as 1/2 a team.

the big 12 was the best conference this season, there was no “supposed” about it.  that doesn’t mean that other teams aren’t good too.

Bingo. I don't give a flying eff who else advances, we did, and history will reflect that the Big 12 conference was the best conference this season, regardless. The only thing left to wonder about is if the Big 12 will have a team in the fourth straight Duval four and/or win a third straight national championship.

It was bad season management on the part of coach self. Like sir, you’ve been at this for many years, you know it’s a marathon not a sprint, and you decided to keep the pedal to the metal to win the confy, but ran outta gas when it mattered most.

admirable sentiments to be sure, but i don't think anyone but kenpom and ksufan and maybe a few other advanced stats nerds are going to care about who beat coppin state by more in december.  the world according to the casual fan about town is going to go by tournament results, and unless baylor can get this turned around quick, it's going to be iffy for the big 12.

3 teams is 30% of the conference. That's good enough. Saying we weren't really the best because we couldn't get 40% of our conference into the sweet 16 is just ridiculous.

Yeah, 2 would be disappointing. 3 would be a lot better than anyone else did.

how does any of this have anything to do with you questioning the strength of the b12?  also, i’m curious if you think that the best team always wins in the tournament

i believed baylor was going to stage a dramatic comeback until the very end.  but they didn't.

Wearing white both (potential) games next week.  Don't care what Vegas says, pretty bad ass considering expectations going in to the year.

This is the NCAA tournament, not a 4 team playoff. Public sentiment barely factors in. Joe Six Pack might not care about advanced stats but the committee does, and they will have more impact on seeding than the AP poll.

Florida Atlantic pulling away here is good crap. The last thing K-State or Michigan State needs is for Tennessee to beat the second best team from the NEC by 50 on Thursday night. FAU are also cheeks but they can give Tennessee a half, at least.
