can ksu win this game? idk
rumblings of suspensions for two players from each team after last nights brawl. would probs make a difference imho

No one is getting suspended for that

"The Tribune-Herald reported both coaches said the ejected players will not be suspended because no punches were thrown."

We can.

It would probably be a good idea to shoot better than 22.6% on 2s this time. And not have 22.6% of our 2s get blocked.

Hopefully Nigel/Tre can combine for 7-11 from 3 again too.

It probably shouldn't make as much difference as it does, but this game will mean a lot for my perception of the season.

If we win in Austin, we will be almost assured a postseason appearance. I know most people don't care about the NIT, but getting in after all the crap from this season would be a positive. Plus, maintaining a 9 year streak of postseason appearances, even if 3 are NITs, is good for the program. Avoiding Wednesday and finishing 6th instead of 8th. It means winning our last 3 regular season games and 4 of our last 6, 3 of those over Top 25 teams.

With a loss, we're relegated to Wednesday and it will take 2 wins in KC to have any postseason chance, which doesn't seem likely. Its another road loss. Its a continuation of the up and down play from all season and reduces any positive momentum going into the postseason and next year.

Again, it shouldn't mean as much, but it does to me.

the NIT is important because its more games and practice for our young team.

I want to watch this team play more. I find them interesting. This is the bend or break game, so it seems important. Usually every game doesn't have the same value in college basketball. But this teams is so weird that they have virtually put every game at the same value.

too lazy, but there is some stat out there that no team has been left out with the crazy amount of top 50 wins we have

us, Kentucky and a couple more are the only school with that many quality wins ?

Teams with our wins typically don't have our losses.

Yeah. The ESPN followup after the ISU win brought up OSU last year as a comparison on why we might have a chance at sneaking. They were 8-10 in conference but had 6 top 50 wins. But they were also 20-11 heading into the Dr. Pepper.

If the lineup doesn't get super Bruced, I'm really excited about the thought of Nigel, Foster, Iwunderful, the Big Hurt, and Gip starting. Of course we'd be better off with Nino at the 4/to come off the bench (and T's and p's to him), but I still like that 5. I know we'll have little to no depth, but should I not have these feelings?

Marcus, Edwards, Wes, Malek and Gip line up could make an appearance. You is going to play the back up pg mins?

Hmmm, not sure. Nigel will have to put in a lot of minutes today, maybe have Wes handle the ball for short stretches before media timeouts?

If Nigel takes the team on his back and wins the CTR for us and saves me from the shame of Wednesday then he will always have a place in my heart.

If we lose, we are the 8 seed.  Holy crap.
