Thought.... I believe if they add between 5k-10k more seats, there shouldn't be much trouble filling them, especially with the new bio-facility they're building, bringing a bunch of folks+families with nothing to do on Saturday but revel in greatness.

when the next round of realignment comes it'll be better to say we have a larger stadium.  at the right price, there are plenty of ksu fans out there that would buy those seats up.  the cheap season tickets sell out like hotcakes now...we could move people who are willing to pay more into the lower bowl in new seats in the NEZ, then sell more $99 season tickets in the upper deck and profit off parking, concessions, etc.  not sure exactly how they would do it but I'm sure the AD will only build them if they feel reasonably confident they can sell them.

remember our "fill the bill" plan that involved less seats and fatter fans and a meltdown from some of our old faves? I still stand by it. That, and my plan for fans in the endzone to have reversible jerseys with one side the same color as the uprights so we can eff with the other teams' kickers each half.

I'd like to think we'd sell family plans pretty easily.  Throw in military discounts, promotional pricing, etc., and you could probably get into the low 50's on average.  Big games may approach a 58k type capacity.

If realignment rears its head in a bad way, it would be nice to have a bigger stadium to say we have one.  But I think the priority needs to be servicing more significant donors.  That is a base we can count on in good and bad times.  It also gives us a big and impressive stadium without the pressure of filling it.

Autzen officially holds 54k fwiw.  Just make your small stadium as nice as humanly possible for players, staff, and fans, and have the ability to stuff an additional 5k in there when you can.

60k is prob a bit much but I could see us in the mid 50s without much issue.  I think a combo of more suites and addtl bench seating in the NEZ would be good.  they could also fill the bowl and switch to an all chairbacks stadium and stay around or just above the current capacity.

another benefit to filling the bowl is we could get rid of those shitty seats in the student section that are behind the endzone, far north end.  I also like how in the master plan it shows the upper deck eventually being "bent in" on the ends.

We won't be able to fill 60,000 regularly. We should be shooting for 55,000, tops.

Good grief, apparently some of you don't remember that last year, coming off a 10 win season, with a heisman finalist, and eventual #1 ranked team, we still didn't sell out all of the games until midway through the season.  But somehow we will just fill up 55-60k regardless of the record of the team on the field.  Like someone else said, kstatefans.com is that way ------->

because nothing procures television sets like more stadium seating.  and since television viewers/sets are all that matters when it comes to realignment, i think we should build this puppy up to 275k, just enough to surpass the indianapolis motor speedway.

then, when that ol conference realignment rears its nasty head, we'll be ready and waiting, #1 pick, l-o-t-t-e-r-y style.  and, with NBAF, i bet we have a waiting list.
