Quote from: Nuts Kicked on April 16, 2013, 02:22:20 PMI guess I just don't see the point of bringing in trees to make the stadium look nice when nobody is around to see them and then carting them off when people come to the game. We should just eliminate 20-30 parking stalls if we need to and plant the trees in front of the stadium so it looks nice all the time.Man, someone doesn't care about the players that just want to sit in the shade after a hard practice. Sad.

Does this exist today? No clue. Could easily be done though. You should do it and pay me a huge fee per sale.Could conceal wheels or make them removable so that you only need a couple pairs for your trailer tree biz. All trailers should be made to look like decorative planters when wheels are off.Problem is that most places aren't designed by ppl that think trees are problems. Even more, most places are required by the municipality they are building in to include a min amt of trees(permanent, not trailer type). So the market may not be very strong. Anyway, you'll figure it out after you pay me a huge fee and we come to an agreement on monthly compensation for the idea.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue
Beer pro tip: never drink anything other than BL, coors, pbr, maybe a few others that I'm forgetting
the real loser here as it relates to the trees getting nixed from the plan? our children. it's the junior wildcat club whose little lungs will suffer from lack of fresh O2 in our beautiful MHK that those trees would have supplied.somewhere ecokat is rolling over in her grave (crafted from 100% post consumer waste product).

I mean, even if there is no room at all for trees (which I don't believe for a second), putting some small bushes in front of the stadium would do wonders. Having a gigantic asphalt parking lot going all the way up to the stadium with absolutely no green space seems kind of Walmarty. So the WSC is Walmarty because there aren't trees in front of it. Got it.The parking lot absolutely is. The WSC is great, but it could look much, much better for less than $10,000 worth of landscaping.

Can we get ivy on the WSC exterior walls? Seems like ivy would green it up but not hinder traffic. Also seems elite.

the editor of the LJ world says KU is close to awarding contracts on track removal, squaring the bowl, and other improvements to memorial. phog seems to think it'll be like a $200 million project.
