BSFS Expansion Thread

They have some construction stuff right next to our stalls. It’ll be cleaned up next year, so whatever. I’m on the far end of E3. They painted lines behind our spot for an aisle, but that last lane up to the curb is wider than it needs to be. We were all setting up 3 feet into the lane beyond the painted line & trucks still had plenty of room. All-in-all, I’m pretty happy.

The best part is the permanent structure for the metal detectors. They added more. I walked up 12 minutes before kickoff & 4 of them had no one in line. I never broke stride until I was passed them getting my ticket scanned.

There was quite a bit of confusion that will be cleared up soon as fans get used to it between general fan entrance and the students made for kind of a cluster. I'm even more into joining the buildings together eventually.

When I walked in I cam from the north side of the new facility. At that corner where the students were all backed up, there was a guy standing on a chair yelling “this is the student entrance, if you’re not a student keep going that way” pointing south. We just stayed close to the facility as we walked between it & the stadium & were able to keep moving. From now on I’m walking around the south side of the practice facility.

i was driving to the stadium down marlatt and crested the hill to see the the rock emerge and as has been mentioned holy crap that thing’s huge.  that’s what she said.  you could probably fit 7-8 iowa state press boxes into it

I don’t care how many times I see these BSFS flyover videos, I get chills. I know he’s not a popular athletic Director, but John Currie deserves major accolades for what he did with the stadium.

Indirectly related to K-State athletics.  The Rec Complex fields are getting a $10 million dollar makeover.  No more real grass for 8 fields, a 3,700 square foot pavilion, 3 sand vball courts and improved parking.

I do not know if improved parking means more parking.  They just may be redoing the existing stuff.
