I think it's a shame (maybe more weird than a shame) that someone donating funds specifically for the video board demanded that their name be attached. Great gesture but weird demand.

As meow meow said...yes, there's a huge difference between the field, stadium, and other significant buildings and a freaking video board. Kauffman Stadium = great .... The David Glass Family Dugout = really weird.

Using Kauffman Stadium to support your naming rights argument is pretty Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  let's see, Budweiser Party Porch, Miller Lite Fountain Bar, Hy-Vee View Level, etc.  Every square inch of that ballpark is filled with advertising.

guess so.  He's saying that it would be really weird if the Royals named things like the Dugouts.  Welp, the Royals do name things like the dugouts.

They should've make this one the Fire Family Board and honored the Ice Family on the one that will eventually go in the NE corner. Fire and Ice. Get it? Are we still doing the Fire and Ice thing?

Yeah I don't know why they're against it or think it's so KSTATEO.  I would rather have an EMAW family's name on something instead of a company name.

i mean it's a little kstateo, but a little kstateo is also kind of endearing to me. hey guys, this is our video board and we named it after a family. i mean, it's kind of cute. plus the ice family appears to be huge studs so if the video board is what they wanted, then give them the darn video board.

I'm going to email Currie to ask how much it would cost to have the Brock Landers Family Condiment Station at BSFS this fall.  An entire Family Handrail might be pricey depending on how long it is.

so ISU's "club seats" are right behind the goal posts and are without a doubt the crappiest location for seats in their entire stadium, correct?

The numbers look about right.  Things is, ISU cobbled their suites in on the concourse between the lower and upper level.   There's no real high end amenities associated with those suites, a vastly different scenario than what K-State and many other schools have, which is suites surrounded by high end amenities and clubs.

We can still be first-movers in fan amenities since that's just part of their Rec center.
