How many former players....
« on: February 19, 2011, 03:34:41 PM »
...are back in Manhattan during the all-star break?  Have Beasley and Walker even stepped foot in that sh*thole of a town since taking their extended paid vacations?

Re: The KU/KSU rivalry
« Reply #2 on: February 19, 2011, 03:40:23 PM »
Does anyone else think that it's gotten unhealthy?  As KU fans, we expect to win, and when we don't, it's a huge disappointment.  It's a lose/lose situation for us.  As for K-State fans, they have grown increasingly hostile towards KU over the past several years.  Their hatred towards KU just gets deeper and deeper as time goes on.  There was a day when fans like sonofdaxjones were the exception to the rule.  Now it seems like most K-State fans fall into that category.

I don't know... maybe I'm wrong, and maybe it's just the fact that K-State basketball has improved to a level where they can compete with KU from time to time, but it just seems like the rivalry is more unhealthy than ever, especially when it comes to K-State fans.  I remember a time on this board when we had around a dozen or so really quality K-State posters, and now that number is probably less than three or four.  Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, what are your thoughts?

After splitting the series with KSU this year, I would probably shut my face until you seen how them 'Hawks perform in the tourney. If you are this upset now, I can only imagine how badly it will hurt when we go farther in the tourney and KU has nothing to brag about in the offseason.

KU's home win streak my have been snapped, but ESPN just showed Roger Morningstar & mentioned the 1974 Final 4 for the 914th straight game.

:horrorsurprise: Not the first thing that Roger Morningstar brings to mind. And they let that felon in Alan?
74 KU team was truly the crappiest all-time final 4 team, by the way. Beat, barely, Oral Roberts to get there.

I suppose if Mitch had had a crappy NBA career and was desperate for money, he might be an assistant or hang around Manhappiness sucking up adulation dollars.

I don't get your point.  Last season, Beas was playing in the all-star festivities.  Good thing no KU players had to worry about that
