I'm glad we started off with a pretty decent recruiting haul this year, because coming down the home stretch could be rough.
We're crapping up the bed with our last remaining high impact JUCO guys, unfortunately.
He's trying his best, but our guy Derricott can only do so much on Twitter.
This is happening more and more.
I don't know...I'm speculating that because a lot of these JUCO guys have two years to make it happen for themselves, at least the high impact guys, they are going to try and go to a school that's pumped out a lot of big name talent at their position to the NFL. In Nebraska's case, Suh is a HUGE recruiting tool for d-linemen, and Prince Amukamara is a big tool for CB's. I think the reason we're doing well with linebackers is Arthur Brown.
Hell, I think the reason we still do so well with tiny running backs is because of Sproles. I've heard recruits, multiple times, say that we know how to use small backs in our system, and that is 97% because of Darren.
These kids want to play in the NFL, NU says they send kids like them to the NFL in the first round, see X as an example, and we'll do the same for you. Oh, by the way, in addition to helping you go to the NFL, here's a waterfall in our football complex and our gigantic weight room.
"Ooooooooo....Ahhhhhhhhh."
Boom. Done.
