He was attending the Wichita Collegiate vs Hesston Mulvane game. Scouting Hesston's Mulvane's running back Mason. He told me that Derricot will be better than Arthur Brown at Linebacher. Said he is a real stud. Seemed to be impressed with Mason who was a real beast in the 4th quarter of tonight's game.

I think they will ask Mason to walk on at most.  He did have a monster game, tho. 350+ yards.

I heard a blurb on the radio today about the Collegiate/Mulvane game with a back named Mason having a huge game.   I assumed it was the game mentioned earlier in this thread...   Also, what kind of money does it run for an out of state dude to walk on to Arky?   Maybe his folks can't afford it, he walks on here instead?   Seems like having an athlete like that as a walk on here couldn't hurt anything...

well yeah we have to, we have some decent depth at corner but with the nickel package we use we need safeties pretty bad.

If Burns was any good he'd be playing more than just special teams.  We basically have one corner coming back next year in Evans.  Maybe the Juco kid from last year's class that is redshirting but again if he was any good he'd probably be playing.  I think corner is more of a need than safety is next year.
