linebacker position scares the hell out of me

Why is everyone so scared about our LB's? They are the most sure thing on our defense besides safety. They will be fine with Walker, Slaughter, and Moore or whoever the 3rd LB is. We have bigger question marks on the DL and at CB.

lol wut. nothing says sure thing like a guy who played 1/3 of the defensive snaps before blowing up his knee, 2 guys who've never played and/or an un-named player from our pool of non-studs.

the good thing about CB is we've always been able to turn medium juco CBs into serviceable B12 CBs somehow.

Correct, which is where my question came from regarding rivals listing ivy league offers. I guess just an offer to join them on your dime, preferred walk-on like.

I think they offer you a spot on the team, then the academic side takes care of any financial need you may have to clinch the deal for attending school there.  Bottom line is this, if the Ivy League wants you and you want them, they find a way to get you into school and overcome any financial hurdles.

I just hope that all of our LBs, DTs, DEs, Ss, and CBs are just doing all that they can to get a little bit better every day and then going home and taking tons of roids so that they get a lot better every day instead.

the good thing about CB is we've always been able to turn medium juco CBs into serviceable B12 CBs somehow.

I feel like we play pretty standard coverage packages a lot.  Maybe simple packages + sound technique + average athleticism = good enough to bend but not break?

I just hope that all of our LBs, DTs, DEs, Ss, and CBs are just doing all that they can to get a little bit better every day and then going home and taking tons of roids to that they get a lot better every day instead.

we will patch something together. it won't be as good as last year but it won't be current chicago bear LB coach and former purdue DC tim tibesar bad.

last year i was very very worried about d-line and they ended up studs. so i'm not gonna waste time being worried this year.

I am willing to bet Walker is going to be his normal self. Slaughter has some starts and real playing time under his belt, and I'm sure he learned a lot last year while watching AB. There are some question marks at LB but I just don't get why everyone is freaking out about LB the most. We have no CB's and no pass rushers on the DL.

Bubba was pretty good for us at CB, hopefully we have some surprises like that

embarrassing that i don't know this, but what did Randall Evans play in the spring game? he will be a stud wherever he plays.

The secondary is always going to look like crap as long as the conference keeps throwing the ball so well.   I'm more worried about getting pressure on the QB and not letting RBs randomly gauge the eff out us.
