A little early for this but this recruiting class seems to be light years ahead of others at this point. What would it take to make it one of our best ever ?

DT and an elite Juco MLB.
What about the Ward kid who was JUCO all american last year?  We got him in the 13 class.  But yeah DT is really important, hopefully we can also get a prayer in Harrison Phillips or Newell at DE too.

I guess I don't remember this Ward kid...

Late commit, committed in like April or May I think.

Yes, someone please do that.
[/quoteFriday night, ESPN.com recruiting expert Max Olson reported that three-star quarterback Aaron Sharp (Houston, Texas/Summer Creek) had committed to the Utah Utes.

The next day, Rumor Central inaccurately reported that Sharp had committed to the Houston Cougars. Somewhere along the way, the fact that Sharp was from Houston led to the erroneous report that he was committing to Houston. That report has since been deleted.

And then Saturday night, Sharp rendered that entire exercise null and void as he backed out of his commitment to Utah and pledged instead to the Kansas State Wildcats.

"I just had to make a family decision," Sharp tells Olson. "It was really my mom who wasn’t on board with Utah. She wouldn’t be able to see me play and I'd be real far away. I had to go with K-State. She'd be able to see the majority of my away games because they play in Texas a lot. That was a big factor."

Olson explains the quarterback that the Utes Cougars Wildcats are getting

He was recruited by Memphis, UTSA, and Houston. None of them offered. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Ward being our saving grace.

So Sharp "had" to choose K-State. I read that as "my moms is making me stay in Big 12 and KState is my only QB option. If another team offers me a qb spot I am gone."

Definitely a possibility.  Hopefully his mom feels terrible about screwing Utah over and won't let it happen again.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Delton seem a lot like Manziel except according to Rivals is way beefier and stronger?

Yep.  If we got him, would be a major win.

Does anyone know who this Will Lockett kid is that is being targeted as part of the 2015 class? That last name does sound awfully familiar.

Bitch I might be. Just kidding, maybe it's just the video, but he looks to not have great throwing form. He has a very strong arm, but the form needs work.

I agree with you, it looks like Sharp has a stronger arm than Klein did too

He needs to add weight.

He's a devilishly handsome fella though.

i don't know that he needs to add weight. he's considerably heavier than rooks. not every tackle goes 338lbs like lucas.

totally agree with your assessment of his looks.

Kalil was 290 when he was drafted, at 6'6".  Fisher and Joekel were both just over 300...  (Joekel is the same height, Fisher and inch taller.)  I don't see any reason that kid can't put on 10 lbs once he starts eating at a legit training training table.
