Texas surely didn't give Sharp a real offer did they? I could really hang my hat (that I don't wear because I have glasses) on beating UT for a recruit.
OT: Aren't hat and glasses compatible?
Nope, completely dorky. Unless you're bald. Then you gotta do what you gotta do (would recommend single follicle transplant first though).
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I'm sure they did, just not as a QB

great. hopefully UT wanted him at safety. that way he'll be a heisman QB.

Recruit says Ole Miss hosted KKK march, then apologizes

FOX SPORTS SOUTH STAFF  |

  Published: Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 2:11pm

If five-star recruit Marlon Humphrey is going to bolster an SEC defense next year, chances are it’s not going to be at Ole Miss.
The Hoover cornerback, who is the top prospect in the state of Alabama in the Class of 2014, began tweeting Monday afternoon about a Ku Klux Klan march at Ole Miss. He later apologized. According to a College Football Talk report, Humphrey and his brother took an unofficial visit to Oxford, and he issued the following tweet:

24 Jun
 Büggš??f?300  @Dan_Buggs3
“@marlon_humphrey: So Ole Miss racist haha” yes!

Tyga Sims lll  @marlon_humphrey
@Dan_Buggs3 when I went down there with my brother they had a KKK march

Has some good offers, must not suck. But I can't answer your opinion directly, I think most high school tape is boring unless they do really freak things like almost every play.

Based on offers and online video, he seems like an elite athlete who is probably a project for major-division teams at QB.

The fact that Utah, KSU, and Miss St. were his final three, that tells me that those schools wanted him as a QB, and the kind of offenses those teams run tell me that he's pretty self-aware to the type of offense he will thrive in.

It would be a good pickup, especially since he wouldn't be forced into action for at least a couple of years.

Still a good thing IMO. It seems like, in the past, we've had entire classes that didn't have 7 other BCS offers.

It was, I'm just saying that he probably just wants to play QB and those are the only schools that wanted him as one (or the only ones that aren't low level). I don't necesarily see any indication that he is "self aware" to anything.

Eh, you may be right.  I'm just hoping someone (non-elite) in that list wanted him as a QB and he was like, hey, I'd rather go play at a school that uses dual-threat QBs.

Regardless, would take.

let me tell you about this guy, i've broken down a ton of vid on him.

kid is a stud.  i know a lot of recruiting gurus like to throw around the term, complete package.  i never use it unless i mean it.  this kid = complete package, just like 1 + 1 = 2.  no bones about it.  here's a complete breakdown by appendage:

throwing arm- complete howitzer with range and accuracy that you see once every 10 years or so at the college level, google "Tsar Cannon" howitzer.

non-throwing arm- i've seen this kid throw with his non throwing arm and he is very accurate with it, his arm can also be described as a gun but not quite a Tsar Cannon howitzer.  maybe a more apt description is a M198 howitzer, 155 millimeters of pure destruction on the gridiron.

head - rumor is this kid gets headaches because of the amount of brain matter that his superior genes have smashed into his skull cavity.  if that doesn't tell you what you need to know, then let me explain- he put together a 300 piece jigsaw puzzle of the swiss alps in less than 20 minutes.  i was there, i witnessed it.

left leg- kid has huge quads and throbbing calf muscles.  his legs have more fast twitch muscles than any other specimen i've studied in my years as a recruiting analyst.  is capable of running low 4's and has leaping ability that is pretty solid.

right leg- see left leg.  not trying to skimp in my recruit appendage review, simply saying that both legs are equally powerful.

hands - an overlooked key to big time talent at the signal caller position is that of the hand.  soft hands are key, they should be medium sized too, not too large and not too big.  kid has these types of hands on both left and right arm.  a study i did revealed his hands fit a football perfectly.

feet- good size, not susceptible to fungus.  strong toes will prevent turf toe injuries.  should handle turf of BSFS quite well.  concern from overuse is valid, the speed his legs carry his feet has never been tested in D1 before.  can his toes handle it?  i'm saying yes but more to come on this appendage.

non-appendage review- core
this kid's core is unparalleled in division 1 football.  his torso is reminiscent of scott disick + young arnold schwartzenegger + maurice green.

that's all i got in this kids review, let's just hope he comes to Emaw U and joins the cats on the gridiron

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Guys, has it been posted that Sharp is listed as 6'3"? That's pretty exciting, no?
