fwiw, this is the reason why snyder passed on wrench.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

not as good as wrench but good.

I have a feeling that Wrench is Donnie Anders v2.0

HKHSFBIQ right here folks. My thoughts exactly

Do you care to elaborate, other than he is viewed as a bust?

Anders was annotated the next DS out of high school. "Faster than T New" Did he ever get past the third string?

So you don't have any HFBIQ as to why you think this other than Anders was supposed to be good, Wrench is supposed to be good, so they are going to be similar?

Pork chop said it best. He is a product of the system as much as being a stud athlete. Connect the dots.

he's basically the exact same player.  Anders was a bit faster, similar in stature and arguably just as strong when he came out.  Put up absolute monster numbers.  Same HS coach.  It's the mold.
didn't Anders have 3 acl surgeries while in MHK?

Yes it was Alsup.  Liberal HS stud muffin.  Couldn't stay healthy.  Was a very nice athlete.

Dalvin Warmack is only the second junior to win the Simone Award for best player in KC area. The first was Nathan Scheelhaase who is the QB at Illinois.

Other KSU players that have won the Simone Award:

Josh Freeman
Maurice Mack
Darren Sproles

How is this guy not being compared more to Darren? His runs look very similar, he is taller so his legs don't look like speedy gonzales on his runs.  Great cuts, great vision, always headed down field, treats defenders as if they are gnats.  Dare I say he seems pretty good?

There are terms to describe that running style other than comparing him to Sproles.

"Dalvin Warmack" is a really cool name.

Also, I would love a Leon Patton clone.  That kid was very good at football.

Dalvin Warmack is a f'n beast. His film is great and i think this is a great start to recruiting along with that Risner kid from Colorado.i agree with SD that it will make that much harder waiting to see if he sticks with his commitment. I found it interesting that we told him we were done recruiting that position..but Deron Thompson was still offered. I'm hoping we can still somehow add him too.

No.  Illinois football was as bad as it's ever been last season.  We basically don't have a program at this point.  It's so bad it doesn't even seem possible.  I might never watch it again.

My dad thought Tony Temple was the other. Love my pops...but it's not ideal having a LFBIQ Misery fan as father. (note: he's only LFBIQ because he likes Misery. when talking about X's and O's and other teams, he's definitely HFBIQ)

first HS player to commit by class:

2010 - Tre Walker
2011 - Cody Whitehair
2012 - Tavarius Bender
2013 - Tanner Wood
2014 - Dalvin Warmack

so basically, the moral of this story is to recruit local studs whose last names start with a "W". and also don't have 'sketti brains.

“It’s really exciting, and hopefully, I can have an impact on getting some other recruits here,” Warmack said. “I want to make sure we bring other guys in so we can have a strong class.”

Braden Smith names the schools he'll be visiting this month. Notre Dame, Shitigan, and O-hi-o State.  :barf:

In other news
Warmack leader of --> #dreamteam ?

Question for everyone : are the kids from like Wyoming/Montana/Idaho (MW kind of area) worth recruiting? Do they have too raw of skill sets? Distance too far away from Manhappenin?
What got me thinking was the fact that; Snyder has been able to get plenty of Gatorade POY kind of kids (We'll see if that accolade is a strength or not in the future, but for now..) The Gatorade POY kids from those MW states might have some physical qualities that could shape them into #EMAW players but, we never know because those states never get publicity. Thoughts? I am just speculating on where to find more DITRs  :dunno:
