Garden City (Kan.) Community College quarterback Nick Marshall is ready to make his decision.

The junior college transfer said he will announce his college choice on Tuesday. He’s down to Indiana and Kansas State as his two finalists.

“I already made up my mind on where I’m going,” Marshall said.

Kansas State picked up a big commitment on Thursday from coveted Iowa Western Community College quarterback Jake Waters, who chose the Wildcats over Penn State. Does that mean Marshall to Indiana is a done deal?

Not quite. Marshall said he still plans to take his official visit to Kansas State this weekend. He spent last weekend on an official visit at Indiana.

Marshall knew about Waters before Thursday’s decision. After all, Marshall was named a second-team NJCAA All-American this week and Waters earned the first-team quarterback honors.

The fact that the Iowa Western star landed with Kansas State doesn’t make a difference to Marshall. He’s still taking his visit no matter what.

“No, I wasn’t disappointed at all,” Marshall said. “It don’t worry me at all.”

Marshall had also received recent interest from Texas last week, but that never materialized into an offer or a visit and he’s not waiting on the Longhorns -- who just changed offensive coordinators on Wednesday -- to make his decision.

The former Georgia Bulldog accounted for 3,786 total yards and 36 touchdowns in his only season at Garden City after transferring to the junior college in February.

When Tuggle signed we didn't have a stud sophomore and the #1 juco qb. If we had, he probably would have signed somewhere he could play qb.
