Also, this guy was not at all what I was expecting when I looked up Dakota Austin. What a pleasant surprise.

why offer him if we can turn Morrow or Chandler?  Plus, I'm curious to know where we're at with Corey Lawrence and what position we would project him to play.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Tanner's national underclassmen combine video and interview.  MVP for the linebacker group.  Measured 6'4.5 230....performed well in agility drills.

I can't see him not being a DE at KSU.

Odds of this happening?

Are we still in contact?

I am certain we're in contact with Morrow.  That is not based on something I have heard but rather our past history.  After a few other in-state kids committed elsewhere we kept pursuing them.  As for Chandler, he liked us and wanted to visit but couldn't find a ride up here.  Tech was closer and easier to visit.  It wouldn't surprise me if we talked him into visiting.

It seems with the wins and notoriety more kids are being receptive.  Take the Stewart kid for instance, he's got offers from a number of SEC schools.  Jones has offers from SEC schools.  Combs has offers from all over the place.  More kids are listening and warm on the idea of coming to Manhattan.

Tanner woods ran for over 600 yards with 9tds last night.  If we didn't have #LIFE he could be another Klein, similar size, don't know if he can throw

Dude doesn't even play QB, does he? I thought he was an OLB/RB?  Regardless, he'll make a nice LB/DE for us.

Yes.  He can throw.

No he can't

MIR Is he quick, agile enough to play LB or will he get switched to DE??

You have watched him "virtually every week the last 3 years" and this is the amount of insight you share?

I don't really understand your bad person persona or why you stalk me around this site. Maybe it makes your friends think you are cool? It really doesn't bother me.

But if you have followed him that much, spit it out. What is he? Kids don't run for 650 yards every day.

Travis Green, currently the starting LB at Iowa Western C.C., and former commit/placement by K-State two years ago is having himself a nice season along with current targets Devon Nash, and Jake Waters. He's stated that he still has lots of interest in us and is planning on visiting. Here's a recent write-up on him from the Wyoming Rivals site.

he doesn't stand out as being inordinately quick or agile, like 'hatter said he likely a d end.  When I watched him last season he seemed to pop out more often than he did last season, that may be because frankly CS lost a lot of talent.. When I cover these games I'm covering the teams, both teams and not necessarily players so I can't watch him as closely on defense.  I assume he is catching a lot of double teams and extra blocks because CS has not gotten any pressure on any team that attempts to pass the ball.  Of course we already know about Chaparral, but Cheney another very average team also had all day to throw.  Garden Plain also had no issues moving the ball via ground and air when the week before they had issues against Cheney. Physically he's a beast though, I don't want to get any hopes up, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him platooning on the line next season.

Your temper tantrum indicates that you are quite bothered.  You are a weird guy stop taking things so personally and seriously.  How am I stalking you, have I even replied to one of your posts before?  Not very memorable.

Now addressing Wood and his throwing ability, well frankly I already did that it isn't my fault you post without reading.  Wood isn't a college QB, he isn't even a high school QB.  They don't pass, they don't try to pass, they don't need to pass.  What does throwing a javelin have to do with being a QB?

The three throws on that tape looked good. I didn't think he looked like a good linebacker.  Reads looked really slow and he wasn't very aggressive.

But the kid ran for 650 yards in a game and you're sure he's not an offensive player?

Seems like running would be easy in high school when you're his size.  :dunno:

Yeah, I'm sure along with the K-State coaches.  He has the size to be a fullback but he's never thrown a block out of the backfield, he will be better used as an end.  In no way shape or form is he a QB or RB.  He's completed 9 passes all season, he looked very ordinary for 3 quarters against the only decent defense he's faced all season.  He's a good, big 3A back, but he's about the 8th most talented offensive player I've seen this season and I only cover 3A and 4A football in the Wichita area.

From what I understand Beisel was pretty athletic in high school.  I'm not great at these comparisons but when you see Wood athleticism doesn't jump out; his size does and he seems to be a solid football player.
